Hey,

I know you would rather skip out this time of year. I know that when the seasons change you find yourself inching closer and closer to isolation, because when the sun starts setting too early it reminds you of times you fell too low for someone so young. I know Christmas carols can make you cry. And I know you feel a sort of pang in your chest when you see the happiness and the conviviality that you were robbed of in white picket families and storybooks. You see warmth all around, but lately wintertime just leaves you cold.

I want you to know I have a warm blanket and plenty of apple cider to share if you’d like.

Truly and sincerely,

Francesca

The letter before you is something I wrote to some people who are very close to my heart. I wish I could scoop everyone up from their homes and celebrate together in a cozy cottage far far away from the bustle of daily life, but unfortunately the world doesn’t always work the way you want it to. This season, I want to remind others that the holidays are not always cheerful for everyone. Do your best to share a little warmth with others this season! A little kindness can go a long way! To anyone who feels alone or helpless this holiday season, remind yourself that nothing is permanent. You are, and will be, loved unconditionally by many and it won’t be cold forever. You will find your warmth.
