USF St. Petersburg, even though under the USF system, is a sole university that adheres to its own rules and has a strong-willed student government which seeks out for students’ rights and opinions. Christa Hegedus is one of them, being president of the senate. She was previously featured on our Celebrity column but we checked back to see how far and how things have changed since her last interview with HCUSFSP.
K. What is your full name?
C. Christa Mary Hegedus.
K. What is your major?
C. Political Science
K. What year are you in college?
C. Junior.
K. How far have you come since your last interview with us?
C. I have come a long way. My knowledge has increased more than I could have ever imagined.
K. Are you still in love with USFSP?
C. Yes, with all my heart.
K. Your graduation is near. What are your plans for the future?
C. I would love to become a Florida State Senator and achieve an even higher position within our government to help cleanout the corruption.
K. What advice could you give freshmen about college?
C. I would never procrastinate. It is the hardest habit to break and once you break it, you will have a lot less stress during your college career.
K. What changes do you think our school needs? Or should it stay the way it is?
C. I believe our school needs a lot more students who are happy with what our organizations do for our campus. I would love to have more ideas from students to achieve more for our campus as a whole.
K. What is one of the “Top 10 things to do” on your list before you die?
C. To cross everything off my bucket list.
K. What motivates you to do your best?
C. My passion to help people and make them happy.
K. How has being involved in school helped you as an individual?
C. Being involved has developed better habit for myself and has increased my experience and knowledge with diverse people. I am even more open-minded and curious about the world itself.
Christa is definitely one of those students to watch out for. Not only is she a good student, she also has time to be involved in extracurricular activities bringing an impactful change to our campus. She sure has come a long way since her last interview with us.
