6 Super Easy and Delicious Recipes Every College Student Can (and Should) Make

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at USFSP chapter.

I love USFSP’s the Reef and The Coral Cafe; their food is delicious and more importantly, already made. This makes eating so much easier and faster since you don’t have to cook your own food! But on the days where I’m just absolutely starving at night and the Reef/Coral Cafe aren’t open, I just don’t feel like leaving my dorm or just the simple fact that I want to eat something different, it’s nice to have some super easy and delicious recipes I can make really quick (since we all know that college students don’t have that much time on their hands to be making gourmet meals). So here are 6 of the easiest, most delicious recipes ever that any USFSP college student can make right in their dorm…that is, if they live in RHO and have a stove. If you don’t live in RHO, find a friend who does because after looking at these recipes, I’ll guarantee you’ll want to make them ASAP!

Breakfast Bread Bowl

I can never wake up early enough to get breakfast at the Reef, so I usually just eat cereal or a granola bar for breakfast. But now, because of BuzzFeed Food’s awesome breakfast bread bowl recipe, I can have a gourmet, delicious breakfast in just 20 minutes! Here’s the official recipe: https://www.facebook.com/BuzzFeedFood/videos/1078241688855723/

Pita Pizza

Pita pizza is one of my favorite things to eat! It’s super delicious, but more importantly, it’s extremely easy to make. All you have to do is heat the oven to 425 degrees, put everything on the pita bread (tomato sauce, cheese, pepperoni, etc. ) and bake for 8 minutes. It’s the easiest, yummiest, single serving pizza you can make. Here’s the official recipe: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/24167/pita-pizza/

Ramen

Ramen is undoubtedly one of the easiest foods to make; no wonder why they call it the college students go to food! However, if you want to make your ramen a little more “fancy” here are 10 ways to do just that: http://www.babble.com/best-recipes/10-ways-to-eat-ramen-for-dinner/

Queso Dip

Alright guys, I’m about to change your life with this queso dip recipe. My friend, Darlene, and her mom, Danelle, showed me their family queso dip recipe a couple years back, and I’ve never been the same since (it’s that good!). For this recipe, you will need: 1 can of chili (no beans), 1 can of Rotel, and 1 square of Velveeta cheese. How to make it: put the Velveeta cheese in a pot, put the stovetop on 6 or 7 and heat the cheese up. Once the cheese is melted, add the can of Rotel and can of chili (no beans) to the pot and let that cook for a couple of minutes. Once everything is nicely mixed together, the dip is done. Get out a bag of tortilla chips and enjoy!

Monkey Bread

So I’ve never heard of monkey bread before, but one day I was on Facebook and came across 12 Tomatoes’ video for it, and let’s just say my life changed after watching that video: this looks SO good. This is the definition of a super easy but SUPER delicious recipe. Check out this video on how to make monkey bread: https://www.facebook.com/12Tomatoes/videos/1082840655083997/

No Bake Oreo Bars

If you love Oreos and marshmallows, then this ridiculously easy recipe is for you. All you need for this recipe is Oreos, marshmallows, and butter; how easy is that? Here’s the official recipe: http://nu.spoonuniversity.com/cook/no-bake-oreo-bars/

And that’s it: 6 easy and delicious recipes to make. I hope you all try out at least one of these recipes; I know I will. Enjoy!
