5 Emergency Makeup Must-haves

Less than $15.00 Each!

Mornings are hectic enough, just the simple task of picking out an outfit can consume most of a collegiate’s morning routine.  When you are running late, something has to give, and all too often it’s our makeup routine.   If that’s you, then stash these 5 makeup must-haves in your purse and you will never arrive to class looking like you just rolled out of bed!

[ Pagebreak ]Must-have # 5: Mascara

Mascara is a morning must-have in any daily makeup routine, and if you are in a rush, throwing a dark mascara may be the bold look you need that will wake up your face.  Opt for a super black color.  The juicier the better when choosing a mascara.  Try this ultra thick mascara from Benefit.  Ringing in at only $9.00, BadGal Lash Mascara is a good place to start when building your emergency must haves.

[ pagebreak ]Must-have # 4: Eyeshadow Compact

Let’s face it, no look is complete without eyeshadow.   Look for a compact that includes a matte black or matte brown shadow which is essential for defining your eyes.  If you don’t want to break the bank, try this six-shadow compact from ELF for only $3.00.  In addition to the matte black, there are enough colors to make any number of looks from smokey, to sultry, or even natural.

[ pagebreak ]Must-have # 3: Nude Lipgloss

When you are in a hurry and applying makeup on the go, a nude color is a must-have.  By choosing a neutral color, no matter what color your outfit is or where you are going, your lip color is sure to match.  Try to pick lip glosses with a lipstick feel.  These tend to wear longer, but still have a natural and glossy look.  Viva Glam V lipglass from Mac is hands down the most versatile and widely used nude lipgloss around.  You can grab it at most department stores for $15.00.

[ pagebreak ]Must-have # 2: Duo Bronzer Blush Stick

When you leave house without foundation, all you need to spruce up your look is great bronzer and bright blush to contour your face.  Contouring will pull attention to your cheeks and natural bone structure.  This can help pull attention away from any blemishes or other skin issues. Try this Duo from Charlotte Ronson which is on sale at Sephora for $13.00. The coral pink compliments any skin tone while the bronzer can be blended as dark as you prefer.

[ pagebreak ]Must-have #1: Eyeliner

Eyeliner is the number one emergency must-have but not just any color will do.  Remember, when you are on the run, chances are you haven’t put on your entire face yet.  Going with a black eyeliner could be  too bold for your unfinished look.  Instead, go with a medium brown eyeliner.  You will still be able to get great defined eyes with the lighter shade.  If you want extra bang for your buck, then try to pick a brown that matches your eyebrows too.  Try this chocolate tinted matte brown eyeliner from NYX onsale at Ulta for only $3.59.  The color will last all day but is easy to smudge and remove if you make a mistake.
