H&M Collaboration with Versace, in Union Square this Week!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at USFCA chapter.

H&M will be launching their new Versace collection on November 19, 2011 at selected stores only. Luckily, San Francisco’s H&M in Union Square is one of those stores!

H&M has previously collaborated with Lanvin and other labels in the past, but once H&M announced their collaboration with Versace, fashion lovers all over the world were jumping for joy!

H&M premiered the Versace line on Tuesday evening, November 8th at Pier 57 in New York City. The fashion show was a huge success and shared the company of many celebrities such as Blake Lively, Jessica Alba, and Emma Roberts. Performances included Nick Minaj and Prince.

For all you high-fashion budget spending college students, you will get to have the best of both worlds! Versace for H&M consists of men and women’s clothing, accessories, and for the first time, home decors. Some of these amazing pieces include beautiful metallic party dresses ($249), zebra-print underwear ($17.95), and studded leather jackets ($299).

It is every girls dream to wear high fashion without breaking their wallets. The anticipation for this collection has been the main highlight in the fashion world. Students here at the University of San Francisco can’t wait to experience high fashion that will finally be available for everyone.

It is guaranteed that the Versace line will be a huge hit, so don’t wait up and get dibs on your favorite items before they sell out! H&M is expecting a huge line so be sure to arrive early because once the collection is sold out, you’ve missed your chance. But don’t lose all hope because Donatella Versace will launch a pre-spring collection that will be available online from January 19, 2012.

Coming across Her Campus as a senior in high school and then leading her very own branch, Emily proudly calls herself the co-president and editor-in-chief of Her Campus University of San Francisco. While Emily has a guilty addiction to shopping, celebrities, and all things "girly" she hopes that she can integrate this into a relatable magazine to the women of her campus. Emily has a slight infatuation for John Krasinski and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. When she's not day dreaming about her future husbands, Emily is participating in many extra curricular activities such as her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta. Emily enjoys good company, good FOOD, and a good ole' television. One of the most recent television series Emily has become a fan of is ABC's Pan Am. If only Pan Am continued to exist, Emily would have seriously considered becoming a stewardess. The success of the branch has yet to blossom. Emily hopes that she can bring Her Campus University of San Francisco to its full potential. In the future, Emily plans studying abroad all over the European continent and pursue her passion of social justice through fashion.
