Although Florida weather is much warmer than most of the country, we will still be getting some colder days as winter approaches. For students living in Florida for a while (or for those who love warmer weather), anything below 70s and 60s can be considered “cold”. So, even in temperatures that Northerners would be wearing t-shirts, us Floridians are bringing the coats and mittens out of the closet. For the days of colder weather you can still rep our school and dress in your best green and gold!
Here are some examples of showing Bull Pride while staying warm with outfits you can buy at our bookstore:
Long sleeves are the way to go when the temperature drops a bit. And since the temperature in Florida tends to vary a lot throughout the day, long sleeves may be a better option than sweaters because if the weather warms up you won’t be feeling too hot.
Waking up for class on a cold morning is dreadful, so make the day ahead feel more comfortable with warm sweatpants! They may not give you the most polished look, but if you’re just heading to class or to study at the library with friends, they are definitely the most comfortable option.
If you enjoy going for a run outside, don’t let colder days keep you from it! Many workout outfits are made to keep you warm, so instead of tank-tops and shorts, go out for a run with a long sleeve shirt and long pants.
Nothing makes a colder day more comfortable than a hoodie! It will keep you warm, comfortable and still say “Go Bulls!”
Don’t forget the accessories! It may be tempting to think that our Florida weather isn’t cold enough for mittens, scarves and hats, but it’s important to keep the extremities of your body warm, even if it’s not freezing weather outside. Since we don’t need snow gloves, these cute green and white ones will do just fine!
Scarves will not only keep you warm, but make your outfit even more polished and fashionable. This tie-dye green and gold scarf is great for a football game and for going out with friends to enjoy some coffee on a chilly day or night.
