A new campaign has recently been launched named #SmearForSmear, which encourages women to post selfies on social media sites with their lipstick smeared to raise awareness for cervical cancer.

The #SmearForSmear campaign hopes to spread knowledge of cervical cancer and cervical cancer testing. This movement was created by Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust and was designed to remind women to get annual pap smears – the main way to detect cervical cancer.

So far celebrities such as Supermodel Georgia May Jagger and Rita Ora have taken part in the campaign.
