On Wednesday, Sept. 19th, USF students had the oppotunity to attend a very special University Lecture Series event. Acclaimed actress, Rosario Dawson, known for her roles in the films, “Eagle Eye”, “Rent” and “Seven Pounds,” spoke to students about her organization Voto Latino as well as her career as an actress. Voto Latino is an organization dedicated to encouraging today’s youth to vote as well as promoting positive change. After the lecture, students were invited to meet Dawson, take pictures and get her autograph.
