Throughout my childhood, I have consumed a lot of media: whether that be anime, cartoons, movies, books, or series. In this article, I will be looking back at my (embarrassing) fictional childhood crushes and rating them in order. I hope you enjoy this lovely journey.
- Lance McClain- Voltron
Growing up, a 13 year old me had a huge crush on Lance McClain, even now I still hold onto that same crush (especially the older version of him). I love flirtatious characters who handle serious situations with humor to destress. Yes, I also hate how season 8 ended and I would like to pretend it did not exist. For all you Keith Kogane fanatics reading this, I also have a major crush on his long-hair version. These two are baddies in my heart.
- Zuko- Avatar the Last Airbender
For all my Avatar the Last Airbender fans, Zuko is known to be the biggest fan favorite when it comes to childhood crushes. Don’t get me wrong on my boy Sokka, but Zuko was just everything in a man for me back in my preteens. His dark brooding personality and his mysterious ways captivated me when I was younger. Now, as I’m a lot older, I can definitely say his teenage self is not my type, but his adult version is extremely my type.
- Taylor Lautner – Twilight: New Moon
I remember watching the Twilight movies with my parents and being like maybe 12? 13? I had such an intense crush on Taylor Lautner as Jake that I felt anxious watching scenes of him shirtless because I thought my parents would somehow know. Now that I am on my college campus, I can’t help but compare boys to Taylor Lautner’s hot bod. I still love Taylor though, I think I’ll be 80 and still crushing over Twilight. My friend agrees with me on this too.
- Kwazii – Octonauts
Guys, hear me out. I was six years old when I was crushing on this cat from this show. I liked him more for his aura than his looks. I can safely say that I do not have a crush on Kwazii anymore, but I definitely do understand why six year old me had a crush on him.
- Marceline – Adventure Time
The first girl in this list and may I say she was and is everything for me. I love vampires, as you can see, and I cannot explain how beautiful she is. I love girls who play instruments, especially guitar. Overall, Marceline will always be one of my most top favorite fictional crushes of all time.
In conclusion, many of my childhood fictional crushes are still my crushes. My taste did not change much during the years, and I have to say they are still in my heart years later. I hope this article made you think about your childhood crushes and if you still have a feeling or two about them.
