Well folks, we have officially survived the Fall Out Boy lockout! Life finally has meaning again! That’s right Pete, Patrick, Joe, and Andy are back and ready to save rock and roll! Earlier this morning they dropped the news all fans have been waiting for and released a new single and video to go with that news. The single, “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em UP).” is a completely fresh start for Fall Out Boy and that new essence can be heard all throughout the track—It’s as if they haven’t been M.I.A. all this time. The band is also rumored to be appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! later this month as their first live appearance together since their hiatus. If you’re still in shock as we are here is the official statement from the band:
“When we were kids the only thing that got us through most days was music. It’s why we started Fall Out Boy in the first place. This isn’t a reunion because we never broke up. We needed to plug back in and make some music that matters to us. The future of Fall Out Boy starts now. Save rock and roll…”
So, there you have it. Fall Out Boy is officially back, Paramore are back, Destiny’s Child are undeniably back—seems like 2013 is going to be a year full of comeback surprises!
