Where are you from:Â “Born in Lakeland, FL. Raised in Plant City.”
School and major: “Studied for two years at Valencia Community College in Orlando, FL. Received my A.A. and transferred to the University of South Florida.”
Post graduation plans: “There’s no second-guessing what I aspire to be! I plan on working within a media company and eventually work my up to become a fashion, music and entertainment correspondent on a television network. I hope to venture out into acting as well. I’m trying to make it to the big screen.”
Where you have interned and your experience? “I’ve previously interned for CBS Radio in St. Petersburg, FL for Wild 94.1 Promotions Department. I’m currently an apprentice for Clear Channel Radio Promotions Department in Tampa, FL. I’ve had the opportunities to work special events and work within the community of Tampa Bay. Just recently I had the opportunity to record a commercial that will be broadcasted on air this weekend! I’m very thankful and extremely excited! My experiences have been great. I’m learning.”
Talents/Skills/Services you offer: “I’m a woman of few talents. I’m charismatic, fashion-forward, great cook, experienced in makeup and styling, photographer, break-through radio personality, strategizer, and that’s it for now!”
How do you maximize your money? How are you resourceful? “Working in retail I’ve learned to wait for the SALES! It’s amazing how much more you can buy! Also, take advantage of COUPONS!! My mother is really big on coupons! She makes sure to get the Newspaper every Sunday. That’s when the coupons come. We save on food, home dĂ©cor, toiletries, hair and nail products, vitamins, apparel and the list goes on! Take advantage of COUPONS!”
Describe your style: “Where do I begin! My style changes from week to week. I LOVE magazines and I often look through celebrity fashion photos. I’m constantly getting inspired by the different looks I come across. There’s times where I feel like expressing my girly side, and more than often expressing my relaxed tomb boy side! As far as my hair goes, I’m very inconsistent! There are times when I want to be free of long hair, and rock a short edgy style. It all depends!”
What are your hobbies and extracurricular involvement? “Like every other girl I know, I love to shop! Shopping is one of my stress relievers. I don’t always anticipate on going shopping for apparel. I like to buy simple things. Pictures, nail polish, food, music etc. I love spending time with my friends and family as well! I also have a strong interest in cooking too! Just recently I became a member of NCNW, National Council of Negro women at the University of South Florida. I’m really excited to be apart of an organization of intellectual African American Women.”
