When you think of Instagram, you think of your feed’s usual posts – selfies, tutorials, aesthetically pleasing meals, and of course #LivingMyBestLife. Aside from our personal favorites, the social media app is becoming a popular tool for authors, and creatives in general, as a medium of self-expression and sharing their art with the world. In a world where we are always on the go, these writers have adapted giving us little moments of inspiration and comfort when we need it. Here are a few of my favorites who are sure to hit you right in the feels.

Also known as an online personality, Orion is a very personal writer. Usually touching on love and heartbreak, her words have a way of making us re-feel all the highs and lows of your emotions that come with relationships.

Rupi Kaur @rupikaur_

A name everyone recognizes! Rupi Kaur released “Milk and Honey” and the world has not been the same since. Writing on pain, healing and womanhood, she has tugged on all of our heart strings by putting onto paper the emotions we have not found the words for ourselves.

If you are a fan of Rupi, you will love Reyna, too. Her writing is spiritual, almost feeling like it is healing you as you read it. She also has a spoken word album titled “I Love My Love” on music platforms worth hearing if your heart ever needs a pick-me-up.

Each of these writers have strong and unique voices, but they also create a connection. They can put into words what some of us cannot even formulate into thoughts. Check these women out, and who knows if you find a favorite for yourself! Enjoy!
