This Sunday, February 3, 2013, the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens will be competing against each other in the most important football game of the year, the Super Bowl XLVII! If you were invited to a super bowl party, I’m sure you have been wondering what you are going to wear. If you don’t already have a jersey to support a team with, more than likely you don’t want to spend the money to get on– plus we wear cuter things than jerseys, don’t we? This Sunday, save some cash and dive into your own closet to dress up for your favorite team. Here’s how.
For the San Francisco 49ers Fan
The 49ers colors are red, metallic gold and white. I’m sure that you have a few combinations of these colors to choose from that you already wear on the regular. If you want to keep a laid-back look, wear a pair of jeans, some red flats, a white shirt and red cardigan. Then pair that with a cute bag and some earrings. If you want to spice up a room and dress up a bit, pull out those red pants that I know you just love to wear. Then add your white tee, a black blazer, and black stiletto boots for a hot, dressy look. At this rate you may turn a few Raven fans into 49ers fans.
Whichever style you decide to go with, don’t forget to coordinate your nails and makeup. Pick up some red and gold nail polish and eye shadows, if you don’t already have some. OPI has a polish that is perfect for this Sunday’s game; it has a red base with gold shimmers already in it.
For the Baltimore Ravens Fan
If you are rooting for the Ravens your lucky colors are purple, metallic gold and black. If you choose to wear something like a pair of black pants with a purple tank, heels and accessories, everyone will know who your team of choice is, without having to sacrifice your style. The picture above shows a more casual outfit that can be worn on Sunday. It consists of a pair of jeans, a black tank, a purple cover up and some accessories, and once again don’t forget about the polish — go with a dark purple color for this team.
One pro that comes with rooting for the Ravens is that many of us ladies love black and purple eye shadows. If you want dramatic eyes for game day, do your eye shadow similar to the picture below. All you will need is an eye shadow palette that contains black, dark purple and a silver shimmer, as well as black eyeliner and mascara. Visit a MAC store and create an eye shadow palette to create your desired look.
