Mark your calendars ladies because on February 10th Prabal Gurung’s limited-edition, affordable collection, Prabal Gurung for Target, will be available at Target in stores and online. Gurung now adds his name to the many elite designers who have collaborated with Target such as Alexander McQueen, Anna Sui, Rodarte, Missoni, Jason Wu and Jean Paul Gaultier. For those of you who may not have heard of Gurung his designs have been seen on many fashionable women like First Lady Michelle Obama, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and actress Jennifer Lawrence.
The collection comes just in time for spring with an array of fun, flirty, floral, bright and whimsical pieces, and for those of us who may not want to make such a bold statement the collection contains some more subdued, edgy pieces as well. According to Gurung in a press release he explained that “This collection was inspired by love, and if Target’s guests can feel even a little bit of the love that I felt while designing this collection, then I will consider it a job well done,” and he then went on to say, “The collection is inspired by a girl’s journey through the different stages of love and the clothes she wears during each milestone — from the first date to meeting the parents to the engagement.” The pieces for this collection range in price from $13-200 and will include ready-to-wear clothing, jewelry, accessories and shoes.
