The winter holidays are a time for spending time with family and friends and rejoicing on the past year. We celebrate with family dinners, parties, and nights out on the town. So with that being said there’s no reason why you can’t celebrate in style. Here are some looks you can try this holiday season:

1.       Sweaters are the way to go if you’re wanting to dress a little snugger for a holiday occasion. This is perfect for that family dinner or casual holiday party that you might be attending. You can pair this look with leggings or jeans (whatever you prefer) and some matching boots. This look is also perfect for an ugly sweater party the only thing you’ll have to do is find (or make) an ugly holiday sweater.

2.       Dresses are perfect for a fancier occasion like a work Christmas party or a more fancy attire holiday party. Go for a dress that has a little more umph to it, like a satin dress or a lacey dress. They come in all different colors that can set the mood for the holiday season. If you’re going for a more holiday themed outfit I suggest you pick out a gold, red, green, or blue dress. You can pair your outfit with matching accessories, like a belt or a necklace. If you want a more winter feel to your outfit you can wear black tights with flats or heels (of course the tights are always optional).

3.       Sparkles are a holiday essential, but more so for a New Year’s Eve party you might be attending this holiday season. You can wear sparkly top with cute jeans and your choice of boots or flats. Or if you’re feeling fancier, you can go the dress route with that perfect pair of heels. Either look works, it just depends on what kind of party you plan on going to. If you don’t feel like having a sparkly piece of clothing you can always find accessories that are sparkly to make a simple outfit pop. Many stores have sparkly belts and flats, which can really help pull an outfit together. Whatever you choose to do, be sure to have fun with it!

4.       Color blocking can be perfect for the holiday season since it involves so many colors. You have to be careful not to clash too many colors together, but just the right amount can give you a great holiday outfit. If you’re attending a more casual Christmas party you can combine a red top and a green cardigan with a simple pair of jeans. For a fancier holiday party you can pair a gold dress with a green sweater and a skinny red belt. If you’re looking for less Christmassy colors you can go with a blue dress and gold and white accessories. An outfit that involves color blocking is the perfect way to show holiday spirit without over doing it.

There you have it! Now that you have some ideas in mind you’ll be sure to find something perfect for that holiday party you plan on attending. As always have fun and have a safe, happy, and stylish holidays!
