Easy, Simple, and Affordable Holiday Gifts for the Women in Your Life

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at USF chapter.

The best season of the year is upon us! I do not know about you, but this time of year makes everything so much better. Maybe it is the decorations, the hot chocolate, or the cheesy Christmas movies. Whatever this season means to you, I hope it is full of cozy nights and amazing company.

One of the traditions for the holidays is gift exchanges. Even though that is not what the holidays are all about, it is still so much fun being able to give our loved ones some thoughtful gifts. I put a few ideas together to hopefully help some of you get ideas. These are all things I own, would love to receive more of or repurchase myself.

Candles

You can never go wrong with candles. Everyone loves them, and they are super easy to find.

You can find candles everywhere. My two favorite places are TJ Maxx and Bath & Body Works. If you are not sure what scents the person likes, go with something simple and clean like the one from the picture below. I found that one at Target and I am in love.

Books (specifically, You’re Not Lost by Maxie McCoy)

Some people like fiction and some prefer a non-fiction book. This book is great for those non- fiction lovers, and especially for self-help bookworms. This book will get you ready and motivated to start the new year on your best foot.

This book is super affordable and can be bought on Amazon.

Dainty Jewelry

A woman can never have too many gold layering pieces, so the more the better. These are so easy to find. Just like candles, you can find some gems from all price points. My favorite way to find cool and unique pieces is to go thrifting, but you do not always get lucky.

For affordable options: H&M, Urban Outfitters, ASOS, Nasty Gal, and even Amazon.

ColourPop Cosmetics

ColourPop is probably the best bang for your buck for makeup. What started out as just a brand of lippie sticks has now become one of the biggest makeup brands in the world. As big as they are, the prices are still super affordable. They have everything from primer to eyeshadow palettes.

The picture below features lipsticks Quickie and Big Break (you can never go wrong with nude lippies for gifts), two eyeshadow palettes (Sol for all your warm tone needs, and Mar for the girl who loves a pop of blue), the All Star Matte + Blur Primer, and the No Filter Foundation.

Decoration

I recently discovered Upcycled Studio at the Indie Flea Market at Armature Works. They make the most amazing recycled art and these beautiful recycled prints. There are so many different options, so you can find one for all your friends.

Hey! My name is Leticia and I am the Campus Correspondents here at USF. I am graduating in MAY (omg) with a degree in Advertising and PR. I am originally from Brazil, needless to say, I LOVE the beach and being outside! I enjoy everything from make-up to fitness and sports. In my free time you can find me thrifting, playing photographer, or at home with my hubby binging Netflix.
