Two colors I’ve noticed on campus lately are burgundy and hunter green. Both of these beautiful colors are perfect for the fall season. Plus hunter green is especially great for the collegiettes™ of USF. Go Bulls! So here’s how to add these two colors to your wardrobe.

Burgundy is an easy color to incorporate into your wardrobe. All over campus I’ve seen the ladies of USF wear this lovely color in style. Some simple ways to add burgundy to your wardrobe is by shopping for essentials. Purchase a burgundy cardigan, oversized sweater, skirt, leggings or knee socks at stores like Forever 21, Charlotte Russe or H&M.

Here are a few ways to pair up your purchases:

  • Pair your burgundy cardigan with a black maxi dress and flats.
  • Pair your burgundy oversized sweater with black leggings or jeans and boots.
  • Pair your burgundy leggings with a breezy black top and patterned cardigan like Houndstooth or cheetah print.
  • Pair your burgundy skater skirt with a black and white striped boat neck blouse and comfortable converses or cute flats.

As for me, I love burgundy! I recently purchased a burgundy peacoat from Old Navy and can’t wait to wear it once it gets a little bit colder outside.

If you’re not ready to go all out on this trend, don’t worry. This color also makes for a nice as nail polish.

USF women already knows how to handle hunter green. Going far beyond the fall season, we wear hunter green here all year long! But if you want to branch out from your usual USF tee shirts and hoodies, add the following to your wardrobe.

Hunter green leggings (and burgundy too) can be purchased at Forever 21 for less than $5! Pair your leggings with a comfortable cream oversized sweater or a cheetah print blouse.

A hunter green dress is another way to add this color to your wardrobe. Check out how a USF collegiette™ styles her dress here!

Keeping the fall breeze in mind, buy a blazer! Blazers will never go out of style so go search for a hunter green one. I got mine at Forever 21 for a reasonable price. Pair your blazer with jeans tucked into riding boots and a button-up collared blouse. Top off your look with a statement necklace.

For both colors, get creative with some accessories! Read about the top 15 accessories under $15 here! Plus, if you have any ideas on how to incorporate these colors into your wardrobe in other ways, leave a comment below!
