3 Reasons to Invest in a Good Planner

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at USF chapter.

At this point in the semester, I think we can all agree that we’re stressed, dazed and completely over classes and group projects. If you’re one of the lucky ones that are organized and doing fine, keep up the good work!

For those of us with incredibly hectic lives and who are keeping it together with one thing and one thing only, our planner, we can all agree that it’s a major key to success. If you haven’t shifted to the planner lifestyle yet, I’ve gathered a few reasons why you should get one, and why it’s worth investing a little more thought (and cash) into a good planner.

1.   Make Your Planner Fun: Planners that are a bit pricier often come with fun extras, such as stickers, pages for notes, motivational messages, a small folder or even a matching pen.

As small as they sound, these add-ons make your planner more interactive, which as a result, makes you want to look at it, write in it and decorate it more often.

2.   Organization is Everything: With school, work, extracurricular activities and an attempt at a social life, the best way to make sure you know exactly what needs to get done everyday is by writing it all in your handy planner.

While offering a peek at what you having coming up tomorrow or later in the week, it helps keep everything organized and allow you to plan your days strategically. I can almost guarantee you will be more productive when you see everything you need to do in the upcoming week on one page.

3.   Decide Which Planner Best Fits You: There are so many brands, sizes, page set-ups, bound planners, pocket planners and many other kinds of agendas for various prices.

For some of you, it may take a bit of trial and error, but I’ve linked some of my favorite planners throughout this article to help you finish the semester and get ready for 2018.
