The basics:
Full name: Michael Francis Cesar
Year: Freshman, 2019
Hometown: London, England
Major: Undeclared
Relationship status: Single
Her Campus USC: So Michael, what are you involved with on campus?
Michael: I’m a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon and the club Rugby team here on campus. We just finished last season 5-1, very exciting!
HC USC: How long have you been playing rugby for?
M: Almost a decade
HC USC: Was it important for you to go to a school that has a rugby team?
M: Yes, definitely. USC Rugby is getting better and better every year and I was really excited to be apart of that.
HC USC: What is something that most people don’t know about you?
M: I danced in musicals and I know how to knit.
HC USC: Describe your perfect date.
M: We would meet at 11 in the morning, preferably on a Saturday or Sunday. Then, we would go to farmers market with an empty picnic basket. We would pick out all the food we wanted to eat for our meal: fruit, meat, bread, etc. Then, we would go sit in the park with our basket and a blanket and have a picnic! Finally, we would go see a rugby game.
HC USC: What has been your favorite memory at USC so far?
M: First game day, for sure! There’s nothing like tailgating at USC.
HC USC: Why did you come to the U.S. for school?
M: I loved the opportunity of studying abroad and going somewhere new. I really wanted to do something different and be able to have different experiences than all of my friends back home. I really love USC’s diversity and how much you can create your own experience with all the majors, clubs, societies, etc; it’s incredible.
HC USC: Anything else our readers should know about you?
M: I spent a month working in a Tanzanian hospital when I was 16 years old, it was pretty intense but an amazing experience. I would also really love to learn how to ride horses and play guitar, and if I get good enough I would definitely include those in my perfect date. I also really love my dogs, I miss them so much.
