What do to in an Internship

We all come to the question, ‘what do I do when I get to my Internship?’ Basically girls, do whatever they ask you to, complete tasks on time and never say the word  ‘no’!

Me in the DOLLY office! Free make-up anyone? Yes please!

We all want to impress the girls (or cute boys!) but we do so through our work ethic, the way we communicate and through the tasks we complete for them, whether they seem silly or not. Recently Editor of Her Campus USC (me!) worked with DOLLY and Girlfriend magazine for a week. One day I just worked on articles, coming up with ideas and sometimes I would help out with another article or buy going out and buying or doing whatever they needed done.

Me(far left) with fellow Workie, Kristy and the Girlfriend team!

Some girls I spoke to to weren’t too happy about it and it made me start to think that way to, but guess what!? Your working at the magazine you probably want to work at in the future! So really you just have to suck it up! I know it hurts and doesn’t seem right, but just think about it… What did the girls who already work there do to get where they are today? You already know the answer! So that’s my advice for you this week! But do get involved in as much experience as you can! It only gets better from here!

Kisses, J
