We all know it, Summer is here! That means: sweating, oily skin and smeared make-up… or does it? I’ve searched through all the hottest beauty products and picked out the four most recommended by our favourite celebrities.

1. BB Cream

OMG, BB Creams are the number one product on the market right now. They can do more for your skin than any other foundation make-up.

What they do: BB cream is an all-in-one facial cosmetic product that replaces serum, moisturizer, primer, foundation, and sun screen. It can be worn alone as a tinted moisturizer, over serum and moisturizer as a regular foundation, and under powder!

What to try: I recommend trying Garnier’s BB Cream, as it was voted the #1 BB Cream in Australia!

2. Mineral Make-up

Don’t like liquid make-up? Then opt for a mineral based product that can act as a foundation, eye shadow, bronzer and blusher.

What they do: Mineral make-up is a better product to use in Summer because if you decide to go for a swim, it won’t smudge like liquid based make-up and can be easily re-applied.

What to try: I use Thin Lizzy mineral make-up. This six-in-one product can be used as a foundation, eye shadow, contour, bronzer, lip colour and blusher!

3. Neon Nails

Think neon pink, blue, green, orange and yellow! Neon is one of the hottest trends of the moment, from clothing all the way to eye shadows and lipstick.

What they do: Hello? They enhance your look…literally!Team any neon colour with a plain outfit and it will instantly brighten up your look. Day or night! PS. I have every neon colour in nail polish, as well has multi-coloured neon shorts and tonnes of crazy neon tops!

What to try: I recommend trying the Sally Hansen collection or Revlon’s range of neon brights!

4. Moisturiser

Nearly every weekend we’ll all be hitting the beach. Sometimes, even between classes! Make your moisturiser your best friend this summer (and others to come!) to avoid dry skin and blemishes.

What they do: A good moisturiser does exactly that, it moisturises your skin! With smooth and sultry skin, you’ll feel confident walking out the front door!

What to try: For your face, I recommend trying DermaVeen, a natural moisturiser for normal and sensitive skin, with SPF 30+ (and is also Australian made!). For your body, use Skin Basics Aqueous Cream. I personally use both of these products and they work wonders, trust me! You can purchase DermaVeen at any health and nutrition store nearby and you can get Skin Basics Aqueous Cream at any Chemist near you!

We all need to moisturise in order to keep our beautiful glowing skin! Take a beauty note from Taylor Swift, one of our favourite style icons at HC USCAU. Does she moisturise? Ehh, yes!
