What College Has Taught Me (So Far)

I’ve been in college now for almost a year and a half. I have so many lessons to learn but here are some that I’ve picked up along the way:

1. Studying requires more than just reading the notes.

2. Your health should always come first, even before school.

3. If you have the choice, wake up early. You won’t regret it and you’ll get so much done.

4. No one actually cares what you look like in the gym, just keep doing you.

5. Everyone is fighting their own battles, even if they seem “okay.”

6. Go to the library if you’re feeling unproductive. It will at least be a push.

7. Be yourself because I guarantee you’ll find someone who will be just like you.

8. Every day is a new day. If yesterday sucked, make today better.

9. A planner is a necessity. For assignments, work, appointments, etc.

And one quote that has been a motivation through my journey in college is:

Brooke Conneally is a sophomore at the University of Rhode Island, majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Communications. She spends most of her time playing guitar while singing, pinning projects on Pinterest, cuddling with her cats, and organizing her room.
