The URI Campus is constantly buzzing through social media. The newly popular platform, Yik Yak, an app where you can “share your thoughts and keep your privacy” seems to be the media of choice. Whether it is a complaint, a piece of advice or the continuously random annoucments about whoever or whatever, our campus loves Yik Yak and here are a few of today’s most popular Yaks.

The speed bumps on campus are so large that they are called “speed tables.” Literally. The one in front of Butterfield is more of a mountain than a bump, or even a table.

This is a good point. The commuter lounge is generally quiet and has a refrigerator, microwave, and tv. For those of you who have no idea what this is, it’s the lounge on the third floor of the Memorial Union without beds or cots.
