Meet one of HC URI’s fabulous writers, Emma Hidalgo! Emma is a junior at URI with a major in Writing and Rhetoric and a minor in Japanese. And yes, Emma has actually been to Japan. It was only for 10 short days, so she is excited to return over this coming J-Term. In fact, it’s on Emma’s bucket list to travel to at least one country on every continent, and as many as she can from there. Emma has definitely been bitten by the adventure bug.
The traveler in her would love to be in Germany at this very moment, where her best friend lives. She absolutely loves the beautiful country and can’t help but wish she was eating Jäger-Schnitzel in Munich. Emma has traveled all over, including Berlin (pictured below).
And guess what… How many of us can say that we have our dream job RIGHT NOW?
Emma can.
She has been working at Lush selling amazing, 100% cruelty free, 100% vegetarian and ethical products since 2015. She describes her team as the “best bunch of people” that she knows. How awesome is it to work with people you love AND have your dream job?
When asked about which restaurant she would eat at if she could only eat at one restaurant for the rest of her life, Emma shuddered. This is a true foodies worst nightmare. After some deep thought, Emma selected Ken’s Ramen because they have a great variety of ramen, rice bowls, stuffed buns and an all around chill vibe.
