Fun Holiday Activities To Do While Staying Home

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at URI chapter.

Now that most of us are home from school, life seems so boring. The holidays are my favorite time of the year and it always brings me so much joy! Here are some fun holiday activities you can do while staying safe at home!

1. Christmas Netflix Party

Netflix has a bunch of Hallmark-worthy holiday movies. It would be so fun to get a group of your friends to host a Netflix party and just hang out! You can also watch a Christmas show. Recently, I binge-watched Dash and Lily on Netflix and it was amazing! It put me right in the Christmas spirit.

2. Bake Cookies

Baking is one of my favorite activities even outside of the holidays. Something about this time of year makes baking so much better. There are so many fun recipes on Pinterest that you can follow or you can just bake those easy sugar cookies from Pillsbury!

3. Decorate your Room

Decorating is super fun and puts me in the best mood. Listening to Christmas music (or Taylor Swift’s entire discography if you are me) while decorating makes the experience way better. In my room, I have a pink mini Christmas tree that I decorate with all my favorite things.

4. Read a Book

There is no better time to read a cute romance book than now. There are so many fun holiday-themed books that are quick and easy to get through. If you have never been cozy on a couch with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate, you’re missing out!
