The Best Smelling Fall Fragrance Candles

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at URI chapter.

Fall has just begun and candle season is in full swing.  Summer is also a cool season for candles, but there is just something about fall that makes for the perfect time to burn your favorite fragrances.  Not to be biased, but Yankee Candle and Bath and Body Works win the award for the best candles.  Not only do their fragrances smell wonderful, but also they illuminate and fill your whole room with light and a wonderful aroma.

Autumn in the Park

Take a stroll through Autumn in the Park with the scents of fresh apple and fire smelling fall leaves.  This is the perfect scent for the start of fall.

Cranberry Chutney (Personal favorite)

Yes, Cranberry is bitter, but this sweet scent is the total opposite.  Cranberry Chutney fills the whole room with a sweet berry smell that I just cannot get enough of!

Macintosh

WARNING: HIGHLY ADDICTIVE SCENT

A classic favorite and best seller, nothing says fall like burning a Macintosh Yankee Candle; so fresh it feels like you are walking through the apple orchards…apple picking, anyone?

Cinnamon Stick

Even though Cinnamon is normally a reminder of Christmas, it can also be a fall scent.  If you love the smell of cinnamon, you are definitely going to love the smell of Cinnamon Stick!

Salted Caramel

Ahhh, the smell of gooey caramel. Am I in a candy shop or candle shop? Nothing is better than the sweet smells of burnt sugar, sea salt and vanilla caramel.  You won’t want to burn this candle too much because trust me, you will be sad when it is done.

Apple Cider

Does anything represent the start of fall better than apple cider? Nope, didn’t think so.  This fragrance is a fall essential that will instantly make your home fall festive; not to mention it goes perfectly with your Halloween decorations.

Sparkling Pear Riesling

A pleasant combination of green grapes and sparkling pears, you will be craving fruit after you light this 3-wick candle.

CAUTION: PUMPKIN IS BACK!

(You thought I forgot to include pumpkin scented candles, didn’t you.)

Apple Pumpkin

If you’re like me and don’t like the strong scent of pumpkin by itself, Apple Pumpkin is the way to go.  This candle brings together two of fall’s most popular scents, filling any room with warmth and sweet goodness.

Cranberry Pumpkin

Merge fall and Thanksgiving together with the sweet and sour smell of Cranberry Pumpkin.  Be careful if you light this candle on Thanksgiving; between the sleeping because of the surplus of food and the wonderful scent of this candle, your guests might be staying the night!

Pumpkin Coconut

Indulge yourself in the sweet smells of fresh pumpkin and coconut with a touch of vanilla.  Again, if you are not a huge fan of just pumpkin, the sweet smell of coconut makes for the perfect touch.

Caramel Pumpkin Swirl

WARNING: MAY CAUSE CRAVING FOR DUNKIN’ DONUTS

When burning this beauty, be sure not to want to eat it.  This sweet treat may cause a desire for Dunkin’ iced coffee…what I mean is caramel and pumpkin swirl.  Not to get off topic, but these two flavors in iced coffee taste delicious together!

Spoiler: Since we’re all broke college students and can’t afford to pay almost $30 for a candle, most of these Yankee Candle fall fragrances and more are available at Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Home Goods for about half the price of what the Yankee Candle store sells them for!
