5 Reasons Why: Wakefield McDonald’s

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at URI chapter.

McDonald’s. Whether you’re having a late night craving or want something on the go, McDonald’s is just there for you. And lucky for us here at URI, we’ve got one just a short drive down the road in Wakefield.

1. After-party spot

“Where are we going next?” Sometimes i-Zone just won’t cut it! McDonald’s has ice cream, french fries, even salad if you’re trying to be healthy! When you’re done party hopping for the night and are trying to sober up, McDonald’s has your back.

2. Long-line

Because everyone is thinking the same thing…that drive-through line is eons long! Obviously, everyone decided they needed some fries at the same time. Just park your car, blast some music, or take a nap because the wait is totally worth it.

3. Seeing everyone

McDonald’s is actually where the after party is. That guy or girl you were making out with…yup, they’re behind you in line debating whether they want a Big Mac or chicken nuggets. Maybe you were trying to avoid someone but, surprise! They pulled up in the line next to you. URI students squad out to McDonald’s, be prepared and maybe have some sunglasses and a hoodie ready to go into stealth mode.

4. Wrong order

Your friends are yelling out the window to the McDonald’s employee who defintely didn’t want the late night shift. Your carload orders who knows what and you scramble to collect money or spend the last 5 bucks on your debit card. You get the goods and pull away. Everyone is screaming for their fries and chicken nuggets but all you have is a bag full of burgers. At this point, you just suck it up and eat it.

5. Regret

You order 40 chicken nuggets, 3 large fries, a large soda and then you open the bag. “How am I supposed to eat all of that?” Well lucky for you, there are other drunken college students all around who would love to help you out. You might wake up with a french fry in your hair or burger breath but it’s all good, just take a sip of your leftover soda because it was definitely worth it.
