We all know the importance of reading, don’t we?  Besides expanding your vocabulary and stimulating your mind, it transports you to new horizons and introduces new perspectives.

But let’s face it, not everybody likes it and time can be a scarce source…Or maybe you are itching for the benefits of reading but still can’t seem to squeeze it into your hectic schedule.

So, although audiobooks are an excellent option, in these cases, I want to propose another idea to try.

Enter an alternative that’s both intellectually enriching and wonderfully convenient: PODCASTS!

As you may have figured out, I am a proud podcaster. Just like books, some podcasts offer a ton of knowledge and entertainment, but with a unique twist. They don’t only bring expert insights, but also stories of everyday people. Plus,  they’re the ultimate multitasking companions, like driving or tidying up your space.

Now without further ado, let me introduce you to my handpicked essentials and why I think you need to give them a try:

  1. “Se regalan dudas”

Created by best friends, Ashley Frangie and Lety Sahagun, this Hispanic podcast questions all that surrounds us. What are my beliefs? Why am I like this? What do I bring to my relationships? From unraveling socializing to dissecting matters of love, sex, and identity, they invite you to question yourself, have hard conversations, and make difficult decisions.  They share relatable stories and invite experts to get in-depth and broaden your horizons. Bonus: They have various episodes in English in which they have interviewed Glenn Doyle, Nedra Tawwab, and more.

You can listen to them on Spotify, Apple podcasts, and even YouTube.

  1. Financial Feminist

Hosted by financial expert Tori Dunlap, it’s the world’s #1 business podcast. This podcast it’s your ticket to financial empowerment! In this space, she talks about how you can make more money, spend wisely, and feel confident with your financial choices. Through engaging solo talks and special guest appearances it dispels money myths and explains things without judgment. All this, with the goal of helping people to be financially free and keep patriarchy at the side. It shows you how money can be a tool for personal growth rather than anxiety. Go to Spotify, Apple Music, or Amazon Music to listen to them.

  1. Diary of a CEO

Welcome to the unfiltered journey of a person who from nothing got himself into leading a company. This podcast is hosted by Steven Bartlett, CEO of the social media company, Social Chain. In his podcast, he exposes us to gripping stories of individuals who’ve transformed the world in a certain way, have brought value to society, and carved out remarkable reputations. I will say that the drive of this podcast is a genuine curiosity about who and what surrounds us. In every interview he makes, remarks vulnerability, personal growth, and an abundance of wisdom that’s not to be missed. It’s available on most audio streaming platforms such as Google podcast, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.

  1. Deep dive

Dive into the minds of entrepreneurs, creators, and influential figures with Ali Abdaal, once a doctor turned into a YouTuber and a productivity expert. It goes beyond surface-level discussions, delving into philosophies, tools, and advice that can encourage you to live a more wholeful and healthier life. It’s a captivating journey through the lives and paths of remarkable individuals. Go listen to it on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.

So, why wait? These podcasts are your gateway to a world of wisdom, inspiration, and personal growth. This audio journey will enrich your life. Give them a listen and embark on a new adventure of knowledge and self-discovery!
