2014 is the year for the fifth edition of El Coloquio del otro la’o,  this activity will start this Tuesday, March 4 and end this Thursday 6. This wonderful initiave came from a  student, who was the one to propose it to Professor Lisette Rolón, the event organizer. The idea is to provide our community with debates about LGBT sexualities. The colloquium is hosted every two years and this year counts with diverse activities, on campus, starting  from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Plenty of activities are available on this edition of the colloquium such as workshops, panels, film screenings, poetry readings, and musical performances that allude to several aspects related to queer sexualities. The focus of this fith edition is perspective, on how gender, race and different social classes affect the queer community.  Doesn’t this sound fascinating? “La Exposición y Espectáculo de Danza: Cuerpos Desnudos: La Inquietud Queer Expresada a través de la Danza y Las Artes Visuales” is one of the many interesting activities they will be offering.

Everybody is welcomed to this educational and enriching activity organized by students and professors from our campus. Whether you are part of the LGBT community, support them or you simply love the idea of the colloquium, this is an event you shouldn’t miss!
