9 Signs You’re Way Past Prepa Year

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UPRM chapter.
Freshman year can be the most exciting part of a college student’s life: tons of parties, meeting new people, genuine interest in classes…but it’s only one year. What happens after college expectations end? Well it’s not bad at all…you’ll see.

1. You check your email more than Facebook.

2. You’ve switched from a night at “La Bosque” until 3am to a night in with Netflix until 11pm.

3. Sleeping 7-8 hours is a luxury.

4. You’re besties with your major’s professors.

5. You know pretty much everybody in your building.

6. The smell from “La Cervecera” is not as bad as it was.

7. You’ve mastered the art of napping on-campus.

8. Paying more than $1 for a “Medalla” is outrageous and unmentionable.

9. You see “los prepas” from this year and think: “What are these children doing here?!”
