It’s spooky season! The weather is getting cooler (or at least as cool as it can get in Puerto Rico), and it’s perfect for snuggling up and watching films, such as Nightmare Before Christmas or Corpse Bride

You know what goes great with movies? Food. What better way to make things even more festive than by making some Halloween snacks that are perfect for October?  Also, no need to fear—if you lack cooking skills, these TikTok snack ideas are perfect for you, for they require minimum effort and only involve throwing a few ingredients together. Here is a list of some of the easiest TikTok Food ideas for October and a list of the ingredients needed in order to recreate them.

  1. Bloody Cinnamon Roll Intestines

This cool idea is from @aldentediva.

Cinnamon rolls are absolutely yummy, and there’s tons of recipes online if you want to make them from scratch. However, if you don’t want to go through all the trouble, no worries! You can buy some ready to bake cinnamon roll dough, and all you have to do is unroll them and place them on a big baking pan to make them into the shape of an intestine. While the dough bakes, add some red food coloring to the white icing ( I also suggest adding some blue dye or some chocolate syrup, so it becomes a more blood-like color) and pour it over the cinnamon roll dough when it’s finished cooking. Viola! Now you have bloody cinnamon roll intestines. To have a better idea of what that would look like, click the link to watch the TikTok.

  1. Jack O’Lantern Quesadillas

This cool idea is from @cookwithranda.

Who doesn’t love a cheesy quesadilla? I know that one doesn’t usually associate quesadillas with the fall season, but these definitely go with the spooky mood. Simply take two tortillas:  you cover one with the cheese of your choice, then place another tortilla on top (like you would do with any other quesadilla). Afterwards, cut a jack o’lantern face on the top tortilla before placing it. Once they are out of the oven, you’ll have an adorable Jack O’Lantern Quesadilla.

  1. Scary Gingerbread Men Cookies

This cool idea is from @alisondelfin_.

Cookies are the best, but they’re usually associated with Christmas—most of my cookie cutters are Christmas themed. For example, one of the most popular cookie cutters is the one used to make gingerbread men. However, we don’t necessarily need to make jolly gingerbread men with this cookie cutter. With any store bought cookie dough of your choice, after using the person shaped cookie cutter, make these cookie people scary! Cut the arms off or make them misshapen. After they are baked, decorate them with frosting that looks like blood or use white frosting to make skeletons. Honestly, creativity here is key. Perhaps you don’t even need a cookie cutter! Make whatever shapes you want.

  1. S’more Ghost Brownies

This cool idea is from @_sweetinfusiondesserts.

I absolutely love s’mores and brownies, so why not put them together with a haunted twist? Again, no need to make anything from scratch. Store bought brownies mix will do. First, place some graham crackers in the pan. Then, place the brownie mix over the graham crackers. IMPORTANT: you must first bake the brownie mix with the graham crackers before placing the hershey chocolate bars and marshmallows on top. The TikTok goes very fast, and I personally did not catch that tiny important detail. The marshmallows would burn if you don’t follow these instructions.

After the brownie is fully baked, you will place pieces of Hershey chocolate bars on top and then some marshmallows. However, don’t use ordinary marshmallows. Instead, use Peeps marshmallows, which are shaped as ghosts (you can use any other Peep shaped marshmallows as well). Then, place the pan back into the over for a few minutes. Just make sure the marshmallows get nice and toasted. Now, you have some delicious haunted S’more brownies to munch on!

  1. Spooky Brownies

This cute idea is from @alisondelfin_ on TikTok

This snack idea is super simple. You just need store bought brownie mix, your favorite chocolate candies, marshmallows, and some spooky sprinkles. After pouring the brownie mix in the pan, decorate it with all of these toppings (get creative and draw scary faces on them). Then tada! You can enjoy some simple, but festive, brownies.
