Christmas is a time for family, friends, holiday cheer and music. There are certain songs that capture the Christmas spirit more than others and here are 12 of them. P.S. be sure to check out our Spotify for a holiday playlist with these songs and many more!

1. Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) by Darlene Love

Ever since I heard this song in an episode of New Girl, I have made it a must have for all my Christmas playlists!

2. Last Christmas by Wham!

Wham! may have been an 80s band but their rendition of this song is timeless.

3. It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas by Michael Bublé

This song is a classic and it wouldn’t be Christmas without a little Bublé!

4. Santa Baby by Kylie Minogue

This song isn’t as traditional but it sure will get everyone singing!

5. We Wish You a Merry Christmas by Weezer

Before Weezer blessed the rains down in Africa, they wished us all a merry Christmas in an alternative version of the classic Christmas song.

6. I Want a Hippopotamus For Christmas by A Great Big World

A less traditional song choice but hilariously Christmasy nonetheless!

7. Baby It’s Cold Outside by Idina Menzel and Michael Bublé

A Christmas duet sung by two amazing voices, Idina Menzel and Michael Bublé have never sounded more Christmasy!

8. All I Want For Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey’s rendition of this song never gets old and will be a hit at any gathering.

9. Don’t Shoot Me Santa by The Killers

A complete twist on traditional holiday music, but still just as cheery and mixed with a little rock and alternative.

10. Jingle Bell Rock by Daryl Hall & John Oates

Always a fun song for holiday gatherings and will definitely keep the cheery mood going.

11. Feliz Navidad by Jose Feliciano

A Puerto Rican classic and one that has made it playlist and holiday parties all around the world.

12. Wonderful Christmastime by Paul McCartney

Said to be Paul McCartney’s worst song ever by critics but his best by fans, this song is a modern Christmas classic.

I hope you enjoy these song and the holiday playlist, and I’m sure it will set the mood for all your upcoming Holiday parties and gatherings!
