Summer is inching nearer and we can hardly wait to soak up the sun in our bikinis! After having an intense semester, we’re all ready to burst with fun and free ideas for our summer celebrations. 

Puerto Rico feels like summer all year long, but the truth is, that for us collegiettes paradise only exists during vacations. There’s usually no time to be squelching our feet into the sand. 

Good news is that our time has finally come! So brace yourself for this summer because it was made for fun, fun, fun. Get ready to party it up with Her Campus UPR. Start making plans because we’ve got you a sneak peak on some of the events for this summertime.

Suzzette Martinez Malavet is a senior at the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras studying Information and Journalism. She loves photography, shoes, fashion, social media, traveling and exercising outdoors. She has interned at the Capitol of Puerto Rico, Diálogo Digital, Wapa TV, Telemundo Network, U.S. Census Bureau's Center for New Media and Promotions and the Corporate Communication/Sales & Marketing Department of the U.S. Mint in DC, but her proudest accomplishment was in Spring 2013 when she founded the very first HC Chapter in Puerto Rico, Her Campus UPR.
