Say hello to Anny Diloné, University of Puerto Rico’s very own fashion blogger!  This young aspiring fashion designer is introducing the UPR campus to her fabulous world with her Facebook page blog: She Died Of Fashion.

I sat down with Anny to talk about fashion, personal style and the one accessory that never goes out of style!

How would you describe your personal style?
I could pretty much say that I’m a vintage-eclectic-pin up girl. I like to play-off new and different trends and break the rules established by fashion!  Fashion is something to have fun with. It’s a form of self-expression and something we shouldn’t take too seriously.

What are some examples of pieces that women should always have in their closets?
The basics: A good pair of jeans that fit fabulously, the classic white, buttoned down shirt, a good quality blazer, a little black dress and killer sky-high—but comfortable—pair of heels.

What are some of the smartest options girls on campus have for this tropical weather?
In Puerto Rico you can never go wrong with some awesome shorts and day dresses. Also, comfy clothes that allow flexibility like dresses and sandals with a comfy backpack.

Who’s your style icon?
Tough one… I think it changes, but I like Florence Welch, from Florence and the Machine, Twiggy, back in the 70’s, and Dita Von Teese’s retro vibe. My style changes ‘cause I’m moody with my fashion choices. I’m always on the lookout for new inspiration from everyone! Sometimes, the girl walking next to you down the street could be your best example.

Could you give us some options of fashion stores online we might not know about?
A few of my favorites are: www.mothcloth.com, lulus.com, topshop.com, romwe.com, and, my latest obsession, wanelo.com

What’s the main goal you’d like to accomplish with your Facebook blog, “She Died of Fashion”?
As of now, what I want throughout my fashion sense is to make women understand that it’s okay to be unique and to show off your personal style. I’m also currently on the process of graduating so I can start studying fashion design. My goal is that “She Died of Fashion” turns into an online boutique, where I can sell my very own fashion line.  For now, I want it to be an open group where people can share their style and post amazing fashionable pictures. Not only for me, but for every girl out there that loves fashion.

Best fashion advice you could give us…
Always wear your best smile, it’s the crowning jewel to every outfit! Anything looks twice as good with a smile on.
