It’s inevitable… Whether we’re headed to a classroom or to work, we spend —for what seems like hours— searching through our already brimming closets for something to wear, and yet we still can’t find anything that’s well-suited for both occasions. Luckily, I’ve put together some tips that will help transition your wardrobe from relaxed to sophisticated in no time.

Jeans and print trousers are —besides comfy— a fun and stylish way to match your outfits. You can combine them with trainers or boots for school, and with high heels or wedges for work. The transitions are drastic but never lacking in style. To get a polished look, change your T-shirt to a blouse and you’re ready for your job.

Here’s how to take it to the next level: focus on the accessories. Even if you have a sporty look, a statement necklace can give elegance to your ensemble.

If you have interviews for either a job or an internship, I’ve worked out a quick trick that transforms a casual-clothed look into a more proper-attired:

Black and white is such a versatile combination —and very stylish of course. In outfit number one, the basic t-shirt and trainers make your trousers look sporty-chic. For outfit number two, add a touch of color and elegance with red shoes and a blazer. You could also wear a necklace and color your lips to show confidence and look outstanding.

Stay tuned for more tips and trends Her Campus’ team of fashionistas will be bringing to you!

Always remember: less is more.

Sincerely,

Andrea Devoto
