There’s something intriguing about this guy’s sultry gaze. One (or two looks!) his way and you’ll feel yourself magnetized and filled with a desire to get to know more about how his mind works. You may have already read some of his thoughts on his Twitter feed, but Her Campus got up-close and personal with this cutie. Carlos tells HCUPR his peeves, passions, dreams, disappointments and wishes for this new year!
Name: Carlos VargasAge: 21Major: Art and TechnologyZodiac Sign: CapricornRelationship Status: Single
HCUPR: If you could create anything without having to worry about time or money, what would it be?Carlos: Many things. Something I’ve wished I could do ever since I was little was discovering or creating a new color, something along the lines of an impossible hue.
HCUPR: If you could give a piece advice to a younger version of yourself, what would it be?Carlos: Give yourself time, don’t rush into anything. Enjoy everything that comes your way, because life is good and in the end, everything is worth it.
HCUPR: What’s something you’re looking forward to in 2014?Carlos: I’d like to travel. For a while now I’ve been yearning to hop on a plane and just cross the Atlantic all the way to Morocco, India or Nepal.
HCUPR: Name something that inspires you, something you’re passionate about and something that annoys you.Carlos: What really inspires me are dreamers: I’m inspired by others, those who dream and fight every day to become what they’ve always wanted to be. It gives me the courage to keep on dreaming, it feels good to know that I’m not the only one trying to make something out of life. My passion is art, whatever that means to you personally. And I’m not the kind of person that gets annoyed easily, but I have to say I really dislike waking up early for class. Oh man, ha ha! Of course, coffee always helps.
HCUPR: How do you take your coffee?Carlos: Well, I’m a barista so I have to taste different kinds of coffee daily; but personally, I like my coffee black — no milk, no sugar.
HCUPR: What’s something not many people know about you?Carlos: I’m a master in the kitchen! I basically have a part-time job cooking for my housemates. I really like it, though; cooking is an art, too.
HCUPR: What’s your signature dish?Carlos: Churrasco! I also make a mean chicken and spinach gyro.
HCUPR: IUPI does it better because…Carlos: It has a green, eco-friendly campus; beautiful people; a lot to do and a lot to say!
