Fashion Show Warm-Up

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UPR chapter.

The warm-up for Ivelisse Nieves’ Las Dos Fridas Fashion Show has generated plenty of excitement! Frida Kahlo’s My dress hanging there, was the inspiration for Ivelisse Nieves, puerto rican designer who will present her work for the first time in the Island. The theme is the rapture, which will transport people with the unique designs and ambiance of this presentation. The preparation has been on going and Nieves has been working tirelessly to put together this tantalizing show.

Last week, Nieves gathered together with Miss Universe Puerto Rico Monic Pérez and executives of Casa de Niños Manuel Fernández Juncos to deliver a press conference explaining all the details of the fashion show.”I’m very happy to be presenting my collection for the first time in a big show here in the Island. The fashion show will be for an abused children foundation. I’m grateful for the support that I’ve received from all the sponsors and the general public that will attend to this event,” said Nieves.

Since founding “Ivelisse Nieves Jewelry,” Nieves has presented collections for the Plitzs New York City Fashion Week and the Virginia Fashion Week. There is no doubt that this show will knock your socks off! Be sure to contact 787.908.1618 for more information on the tickets. Remember that the show will be held this friday, june 7th at the Hotel Verdanza @ 8:00PM.

See you there!
