El Gran Combo Welcomes Students On Campus

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UPR chapter.
Start practicing your sickest salsa moves and prepare to flaunt them because this Wednesday, August 28th at 7pm, Buena Vibra Group’s annual College Tour is bringing the legendary salsa group El Gran Combo to the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras campus.

Two years ago, Buena Vibra tried to do the same, but was cancelled by our then rector Ana Guadalupe. The performance was moved to the Bayamón campus on the grounds that there wasn’t enough security for the performance at the Rio Piedras campus, even though the group assured the board of directors that they had their own private security. Now, there is nothing holding El Gran Combo back from performing in front of La Torre and making us dance to their classic hits that have been enchanting our island and the world for more than 50 years.

So make sure you have your dancing shoes ready for Wednesday, because the night promises good times, many twists and turns by your dance partner, and a chance to see one of the most adored and renowned musical groups of Puerto Rico.

Here is a song just to pump you up for tomorrow!
