Arriving at number ten, we can agree that love, coming in different shapes and forms, is something that can be found in both the commonest and most uncommon ways. While some come easier than others into our lives, it’s understood that they deserve to be worked on. Dedicate time to your relationships and your partner! Gabriela and Juan definitely know that, and we hope their compassion makes you love them as much as we did!

Cute Campus Couple

Gabriela Rivera & Juan Iglesias

How’d you two meet?

GR:  We met through a mutual friend, although he saw me on Snapchat and asked who I was!

JI: Yeah, we met through a common friend.

How long have you been together?

GR: 2 years!

JI: 2 years and 2 months.

What was the first thing you noticed about each other?

GR: His laugh. It’s so contagious!

JI:  The first thing I noticed was her eyes.

What makes your relationship work?

GR: We support each other all the time and push ourselves to be the best we can be. Communicating how we feel keeps us going!

JI: The dedication and hard work we put on our relationship.

One word to describe your partner.

GR: Amazing.

JI: Expressive.

Who hasn’t ever wanted their crush to ask your friends about you? Be honest!

Here’s to this lovely couple making it to two years, and hopefully more!

Stay tuned for the rest of our adorable couples. <3

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Josie is a senior in the UPR-Río Piedras campus, majoring in English Literature. When she's not on campus, you can find her browsing a bookstore (as if her TBR pile isn't big enough already!). Books and writing are what drives this girl--apart from fighting to destigmatize mental illnesses and raising awareness about the importance of consent. Josie enjoys traveling, bingeing on spicy food and a lot of sweets, blasting Bieber, and adding shows or movies to her Netflix queue that she'll never get to. Josie is a junior editor for the Rio Piedras chapter in Puerto Rico. If you want to see what else Josie is up to, you can catch her on her bookstagram.
Antoinette Luna is a Performance Studies and Comparative Literature major at the UPR. Her passions include writing, reading, and anything crafty. She loves to sew, write, and make things from scratch. DIY is the name of her game. Around campus, she is known as a bubbly young woman who goes by just Luna. Her future goals include traveling, traveling, and more traveling. Outspoken transfeminist, and wannabe activist, she's out to set fires.
