What do you see when you envision your Dream Girl?

I look for what my girlfriend has… I don’t want any trouble, ha-ha! On a more serious note, I look for a girl who is intelligent, responsible, educated, sociable, pretty and someone who helps others. Most importantly she can’t be a b*tch.

What’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever done for a girl?
In high school I spoke to the janitor to arrive early so I could leave a giant teddy bear, the size of a small child, on the desk of my crush.

What’s your idea of a perfect date?
Well, I would definitely be on the beach, minus all the mosquitos. I would probably take her to dance salsa after or listen to some jams by Robi Draco Rosa. But honestly as long as I am with my dream girl the place doesn’t matter much.

Who is a person you admire?
My Abuela. She is over 80 years old and she still wants to work and do things like mow the lawn. She works even if she’s suffering from any little pain, she never stops.

What’s your biggest turn-off?
Bicherias.  I hate when women are stuck-up and live in “daddy’s world.” I really can’t stand women who are not humble.

What are some of the items on your Bucket List?

Oh, wow. Well, I’d love to go to space, that has to be pretty awesome. I also would love to emulate Che Guevara in The Motorcycle Diaries, where he travels from South America from Patagonia all the way to Peru on a motorcycle.

Do you have any plans after graduation?
Well, I want to continue my studies. I think I’ll pursue a Master’s in public administration or maybe some branch of political science.

What’s your biggest fear?
To lose my memory.

If a Genie were to grant you three wishes, what would you ask for?
A fountain of money — ha-ha, just kidding! First, to provide enough food for everyone around the world. Then I would wish for everyone to be happier, and that there be no evil, that’d make the world a little more sociable. For my last wish I would end all capitalism. BOOM. World Peace. See? In just three wishes. Life is simple, really.

What type of music do you listen to?
Salsa, Reggae, any music really as long as it’s not Mexican ranchera.

Do you have any weird habits or quirks?
Before I go to bed I do this thing where I lie down and stretch my left leg up to my right shoulder. I do the same with the opposite leg, and after that I sleep like a baby.

What’s your most embarrassing moment?
Oh, God. One time I was walking back to my apartment and a car that I thought was a buddy of mine’s was driving by. So I thought it would be funny to stick my finger out like a hitchhiker and ask for a ride, but it turns out it wasn’t my friend!

Has anyone ever given you a piece of meaningful advice?
A professor once told me: Juanky, how do you pretend to help others if you don’t know how to help yourself?

What’s something you would tell your future kids?
Do what you want and what makes you happy while remembering to always respect others.
