It’s October and Halloween is here! Well, it’s not here but, it’s on its way. There are a lot of ways to celebrate this day, and for this reason, it can be hard to choose what to do. No fear guys, Her Campus at UPR has you covered. Here are six different ways to spend Halloween.

  1.  Have a Movie Marathon

This is a laid-back, yet fun way to spend the holiday! Buy yourself some popcorn, candy, and enjoy the show. There are millions of movies to pick from. Click to read our article with movie suggestions.

  2.  Binge Watch a TV Series

These days people watch more TV shows than they do movies. Binge watching some Halloween appropriate TV shows could be fun too! Click to read our article with TV Show suggestions.

    3. Go to a Costume Party

There are always millions of parties going on that night. We guarantee there is someone you know that is throwing a party (and if we’re wrong), you can also throw one yourself, buy tickets to one or just simply go to La Calle Bosque in Mayagüez.

    4. Communicate with Spirits in Other Dimensions

Something different, and possibly fun to do on Halloween, could be to entertain our mystical side. A lot of people use this night to play around with an Ouija board and, while this might sound scary, it would be an interesting thing to try. However, if you still want to play around with this idea, we recommend Tarot Cards. Who knows, you might find out something about yourself you didn’t know!

     5. Go Trick or Treating

At our age, there are two ways we can still do this. Our first option: take your younger sibling or cousin. This will be fun for them because it won’t be with their parents but with their cool older sibling/cousin. Not to mention, that it will be fun for us because we get to, in some way, re-live our childhood, and candy, we get candy.

Second option? Talk to some friends or neighbors an arrange a grown up way to do this. Someone could have jello-shots as treats in their house, or vodka gummy bears and so on. Whichever one you pick, you are sure to have some fun.

     6. The Escape Room, Puerto Rico

Something quite new on the island, that might be interesting to do on Halloween, is having The Escape Room experience. For more info on this, click here.
