Christmas season has started and with that, the hunt for gifts. You want everyone to feel special and loved, especially your friends. After all, they’re your chosen family. However, getting brand new store-bought items for them can become a bit of an expensive ordeal, and sometimes you can’t give them anything because of it. But that’s alright! Here I have some inexpensive DIY ideas for gifts:
1. Put your talent to use
Everyone has a talentーit can be anything from drawing, to making music, to crocheting or writing. Anything you can think about you can give to another person. If you can draw, make them a drawing. If you can sing, sing them a song! Write them a poem or a short story. You get the idea. Just make them something special that comes from the heart by using the talents gifted to you by your higher power of choice!
2. Write them a letter
Nothing is better in this world than a beautiful letter. Write them a beautiful letter telling them how much they mean to you. Actually, it doesn’t have to be pretty, it just has to come from the heart. It could be full of private jokes, puns and spelling mistakes. As long as you mean well and you took the time to do it, it won’t matter.
3. A collage
For this one, you’ll likely need a little bit of money. Search for pictures of you and your friend(s) together and have them printed. Make a beautiful collage with them! You can also add some stickers and pretty tapes or add some decorative details with markers or glitter. Just create a masterpiece with pictures of you.
4. A playlist
Get your Spotify or Apple Music account out and start the hunt! Search for songs that remind you of your friend and how you feel about them. Mix it with songs that you like and songs you know they would love and there you go! A gift with just a few clicks!
5. Stickers and Keychains
This is another gift that will save you a lot of money, but is still cute and shows you care. Find stickers that suit their interest. Etsy is the best place to find good and pretty stickers of different things. From anime, to memes, to inspirational quotes!
I hope these ideas help you find the perfect gift for your friend. Remember a gift doesn’t have to be expensive to be meaningful and good, so feel free to create without wasting any money!
