A couple of days ago, Blue Mountain State: The Movie, was released, giving many of the viewers the peace of mind to see what would happen to our beloved characters. As raunchy and controversial as this series was, Blue Mountain State did give us the fans an inside scoop of how college life is sometimes.
1. It’s awesome to stay friends with your high school bestie.– Sammy and Alex know each other since kindergarten, and went to college together, too! And then proceeded to be roomies. How amazing is that?
2. If you’re an athlete, your bond with your teammates will be unbreakable.- Thad always had this crazy idea with Drug Olympics, to make the team stay together as one. Even though it was a bit to the extreme, they were always inseparable.
3. It’s okay to have one night stands.-From Thad to Mary Jo, it doesn’t really matter if you’re a girl or a boy.
4. The leader of your squad is almost always right.– Thad will always be the best captain ever, I don’t care what anyone says.
5. “Where are you from?” Has a whole different meeting. “Our father’s balls!”
6. Be safe and always use protection.– You don’t want a random call from someone saying you’re having a baby, or if you’re a girl… to find out if you’re having one.
7. Always take advice from your mentors. The best mentor of all time, Coach Marty Daniels.
8. Sometimes it’s cool to stay friends with your ex– Mary Jo and Alex do get along after all.
9. It’s very common that you experiment in college.
10. You will still need reality checks.
11. If a buddy is failing help him out. Even though bribbing a professor might not sound like the best idea.
12. Jocks can be smart too. Shilo is the best example for this. And Mary Jo, even though she was a cheerleader, she was on a scholarship.
13. If you play hard enough you’ll go to the big leagues. DREAMS!
14. Oil changes have a whole meaning too.
15. We will always have a person in our life who will screw us over.
16. Women can be cheaters, too. Tsk tsk, oh Denise, Shilo was a good man. Even superstars know how it feels like being betrayed.
17. If your best friend allows it, it’s okay to date their sibling.
18. Girls can make the first move.
19. Never let anyone try to take you down.
20. Be careful where you leave your things if you are living in a dorm. Thad should’ve known better than to brag about his father’s present, Oksana.
21. Nudes are a double razor sharp blade.
22. Don’t lie to your superiors They always find out the truth.
23. Be ready for anything.
24. Enjoy every minute you can of your college years.
25. The trickle down bang rule. Like all wise Harmon says: “What the first strings don’t want, second string gets. What they don’t want, special teams gets.”
