It has been exactly six months since Indian Canadian YouTuber Lilly Singh revealed that she would be getting her own late night talk show on NBC. She made the big announcement during her interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon that she’s joining the NBC late night family; that same night she even took a “cheesy family photo” with Fallon and fellow late night host Seth Meyers, who made a surprise visit to welcome her with open arms and champagne.

Known to her fans by her YouTube name “IISuperwomanII,” Singh has graced our computer screens since 2010 with her hilarious and inspirational videos. Now, she has almost 15 million subscribers on her channel and over 3.1 billion views online. During her YouTube career Lilly has accomplished so much in the past few years. She released her first feature film about her world tour “A Trip to Unicorn Island” back in 2016, was featured in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list, became a New York Times best-selling author, and has received numerous awards including two Teen Choice Awards and a People’s Choice Award. Along with her much-deserved fame, she also launched the #GirlLove initiative, which is a campaign focused on ending girl-on-girl hate and has used this campaign to help provide girls in countries like Kenya and India with a good education. As you can see, Lilly has had one hell of a career. But now she is taking on a much bigger role starting this week.

She is making TV history by becoming the first bisexual woman of color to host a late night talk show. Her new show “A Little Late with Lilly Singh” will feature opening monologues, comedy sketches, musical comedy, fun games, and much more. There will also be an incredible lineup of guests including The Office’s Mindy Kaling and Rainn Wilson, Saturday Night Live’s Kenan Thompson, Black-ish’s Tracee Ellis Ross, and comedian Chelsea Handler who will all be on the show this week. Episodes will air weeknights right after “Late Night with Seth Meyers” at 12:35 a.m. on NBC.
