Queer Eye

Queer Eye is a remake of the popular 2000’s show “Queer eye for the straight guy.” It is a makeover show where nominees get a whole new look, a home makeover, and diet and life advice by the FAB 5.The FAB 5 consist of Bobby Berk who is in charge of interior design, Karamo Brown who’s specialty is Culture, Then there’s Tan France who is in charge of Wardrobe, and has insane style. Johnathan Van Ness is the fabulous hairstylist who brings so much sass and energy to the screen. And finally there is  Antoni Porowski (daddy) who is the culinary expert.

Why you should watch it: Queer Eye is so funny and very entertaining. You should watch it if you like makeover, cooking and interior design shows since it’s all in one. It also addresses The issues such as homosexuality misconceptions, religion, insecurities, and it also addresses the tension with police.

Money Heist

Money Heist is a show in Spanish that takes place in Spain. A group of thieves and hackers plan out a heist at the Royal Mint of Spain. They lock themselves at the Royal Mint and print out money while trying to control the hostages, however a couple problems occur.

Why you should watch it: it’s very suspenseful, and interesting. You sympathize with the thieves and root for them to get out.

One Day at a time on Netflix is a remake of the original 1978 version, only this time it revolves around a Cuban Family. 

Why you should watch it: It’s very funny, and it tackles very important political and social issues very well. It tackles issues such as immigration, PTSD, coming out as LGBTQ+, depression and anxiety, and racism.

On End of the F****** World is a show about two awkward teenagers named Alyssa and James. James considers himself a psychopath and fantasizes of killing Alyssa. Alyssa doesn’t fit in and finds James weird so she makes him her boyfriend. Alyssa and James run away committing a series of crimes that lead the authorities looking for them.

Why you should watch it: It is an unusual love story that has you rooting for them in the end.

Ingobernable

Ingobernable is a Spanish show about the wife of the President of Mexico who is framed for the death of her husband. While on the run from the government, Emilia discovers secret projects and detentions held by the government. She also discovers why they are trying to frame her for the death of her husband.

Why you should watch it: It is a thriller that will keep you guessing on who did it and why.
