This is ironic and crazy, because I was actually born on a Monday. Maybe that’s why I have this strange burst of energy most mornings, including Mondays. But alas, I know most people don’t. It’s a hassle being this little ball of excitement ready to get the week going when my friends are flicking me off halfway through their morning coffee. So here’s my How To Guide for Monday Motivation:

1. Get your to-do list ready Sunday.

I know, I know. All of Sunday is spent not thinking about Monday, just to soak in the rest of the weekend. But, I’m telling you, 3 minutes out of a 24 hour day to get your to-do list ready is so worth it. You’ll thank me later.

2. Start it EARLY.

“The early bird gets the worm,” and getting a head start on Monday will actually help it go by faster vs. lagging and dragging throughout the day. So start early!

3. Eat Something.

I know better than anybody that a college kid’s diet is pretty much either non-existent or “feast on sight.” If I can’t eat anything like EVER the rest of the week, I know I should definitely eat on Mondays.

4. Listen to some music.

Nothing like your favorite tunes to get you pumped and inspired at any hour! My Monday Morning playlist is comprised of trap & gospel music- Don’t judge me.

5. Remain positive!

Don’t harp on the negatives of Monday. Instead, remain happy among your friends and colleagues. Let them feel your positive energy.

6. Try to keep yourself busy throughout the day.

Cause if you don’t, I guarantee the day is going to go by so much slower and longer! So try to get a lot done in the day.

7. Get some fresh air too!

Although it’s good to stay busy to make the time go by faster, it’s also good to get a break in and suck in some good clean fresh air.

8. Have some fun on a Monday.

Have a break during the day? Got some down time? Go pick up something nice or grab a good lunch with someone you love. Maybe even do something spontaneous in the meantime.

9. Don’t let Monday get you down, get down on Monday.

On Mondays, we’re boss ladies.

10. Remember, it’ll all be over soon.
