Sometimes we are small

We are weak and we are scared

It seems as if there is nothing we can do

We push and pull, trying to get what we want in life

to change how things are or change ourselves, we think

we must do world-shaking things or we

will end up as just specks of dust passing on this big earth

The universe doesn’t care if you succeed or not

The tides will not stop because you cannot go on

The trees will continue to grow, rain continue to fall

and people keep on living

So succeed anyways

No one else can do things exactly as another can

and yet everyone does their own

We are afraid of being nothing

but everything we do makes a difference in something

even if it is only in ourselves

We are small and that doesn’t matter in the slightest
