The Stages of Watching Makeup Tutorials, as told by Amy Schumer

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNT chapter.

While scrolling through YouTube, you run across a makeup tutorial featuring a woman who looks like her cheekbones have been highlighted by the gods. Then you do the unthinkable: try to recreate the look. Don’t worry– we’ve all been there.

1.      I can make my face look like that?

Teach me your ways!

2.      I need all the products! Yes, a $60 foundation is necessary!

Buy! Buy! Buy!

3.      I was not prepared for this…

How does she make it look so easy?

4.      Can I give up now?

No, you must make your eyebrows “on fleek”.

5.      That moment when you look in the mirror.

Wow, that is not what I was expecting.

6.      I will just leave this whole “makeup” thing to the rich and famous.

Kanye, how can you be so heartless?

7.      Besides I can pay people to do this for me… right?

Shout out to those who are #blessed

8.      Let’s just forget this ever happened.

Choose your battles wisely.

9.      Then, you remember you were beautiful to begin with.

Girl, you don’t need makeup!
