Hey UNT! Meet freshman La’Darius Sanders from Houston, TX. He is a political science and economics double major. This future financial lawyer’s goal is to one day make a difference in a way that has never been thought of before. He wants to recreate the idea of African American men and women being “kings and queens” again.
In his free time, La’Darius enjoys listening to music and playing the drums. While in high school, Sanders served as a member of the Mighty Ram Band at Alief Elsik High School and eventually moved his way up to drum captain by his senior year. Although he is not playing anymore, music is still very close to his heart. When asked what his favorite song was at the moment, he replied with “Big Mac” by Buddy Rich.
