Freshman year of college is finally over and I can only thank one of my best friends for getting me through those rough nights: Netflix. Throughout these last couple of semesters I’ve watched so many shows and they have all been lovely. Below is a list of shows that I’ve fallen in love with and would suggest for y’all to watch throughout the summer months!

Being Mary Jane

Mary Jane (Gabrielle Union) actually became my she-ro! She knew exactly what she wanted and didn’t let anyone get in her way. The test and trials that she faced throughout her journey may have bent her a little bit, but she never broke. She bounced back from any “L” she took. Catch Mary Jane as she tries to make a name for herself and put her show on the map!

Breaking Bad

Two words to describe this show? An addiction. Walter White was a teacher who had cancer and wanted to make money to take care of his family as well as pay for his treatments. To do this, he teamed up with his former student, Jesse Pinkman, and began their own meth lab. Join them

Shameless

This show is about 6 kids who have an alcoholic as a father and a bipolar mother who abandoned them. They all do odd jobs in order to survive. Fiona is the oldest and she is basically their guardian. Philip (Lip) is the smartest and takes SAT’s for money. Ian is unsure of his sexuality. Debbie, the middle child, runs a daycare center in their home. Carl is just bad. That’s all you can say about him. Liam, the baby of the family, is black…

The People vs. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story

Everybody knows the story. It’s probably been the topic of discussion in all households at some point in time. This show goes through the trial from beginning to end of the alleged murder of Nicole Simpson by OJ Simpson within 10 episodes. Do you believe he is innocent or not? Watch it to see if it could change your opinion.

Criminal Minds

MY ALL TIME FAVORITE SHOW! I’ve probably seen every episode a thousand of times. Follow the BAU team as they solve the various cases that come up.
